Restore Windows in Lion
By macstarter | January 18th, 2012 | Category: Software | No Comments »One of the features in Lion that can get me a little hot under the collar is the Restore Windows feature. You’ll see this happening with certain programs (such as Preview). Now, let’s say you’ve opened up two PDF’s to read them. You then quit Preview. Later on, you open up a third PDF file to read it, and low and behold, the previous two PDF’s open up as well! In some situations this is a good thing. In other situations it can really get on your nerves having half a dozen windows suddenly open up. The simple solution to this feature is to go to System Preferences and choose General. About half way down you’ll see a “Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps” option. Uncheck that and you should be good to go.
