If you’ve got two or more Macs in your house (or work with multiple Macs), this tip is for you.
When you need to move a file from one Mac to another, simply open a Finder window, and select “Airdrop” from the sidebar on both computers. You should see a folder similar to the picture above. When another Mac in your house opens a similar Airdrop window, you’ll see it appear in your Airdrop window.
Now simply drag a file over the computer you want to transfer the file to, it will start transferring as soon as the recipient accepts the transfer. It makes sharing files embarrassingly easy, and it’s a feature I now can’t do without at work.
Note: Airdrop is a Mountian Lion feature on newer Macs.
