Since I downloaded Zite just over 2 years ago, it has been without a doubt one of the few apps I have clicked on every single day. Totalling up my reading on the iPad (and I do A LOT of reading on my iPad), I must do more reading on Zite than on any other App. Again, I think it beats apps like Flipboard, and Pulse hands down. My reasoning here is that whereas those apps have sources for articles, I always feels like Zite has found articles for me to read, from all corners of the web.
The update for Zite brings it up to version 2.1. You can still source articles by topic, but now Zite has recommended sources as well. The interface has been overhauled, into what I think is almost the perfect reading app I’ve ever used. You can click on an article, and swipe it away to get back to your articles. The overall layout has been made simpler, and far easier on the eyes. The iPhone version has been most improved, and is a joy to use when you’re on the move.
One of the neatest features has to be the fact that you can access a history of articles you have read, by viewing your profile. It’s a really useful thing to have at your disposal, especially if you’re using Zite to collect research material.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If you have an iDevice, and you haven’t got Zite, what are you wasting your batteries on? Get it downloaded now, and start reading your heart out! The only request I would make to Zite is this: Where’s the Mac Desktop version of Zite already???
